The jumping spider (Salticidae) is the largest spider family members comprising of around 5,000 known types. They live in a wide variety of environment consisting of; scrub lands, forests, deserts, as well as mountains.

An amazing feature of the jumping spider is its 4 huge frontal eyes and four smaller sized ones on top of the head. They are brightly-colored, with tough bodies as well as short legs.

Grownups measure between 2 to 22 mm. Honored with excellent vision, leaping spiders are active killers. Normally meat-eating, they track and pounce on little insects. There are couple of types who go after pollen and also nectar.
